Megan and Patrick’s story began with a first date at Hula’s Island Grill in February 2023, a Santa Cruz favorite for them both. Over dinner, they quickly discovered how much they had in common, from a shared love of tiki drinks and creative cocktails to their taste in music.

One of Megan’s favorite early memories was learning that Patrick played in a death metal band and getting to sit in on practice with Eviscerate. Music became a big part of their relationship, and many of their first outings together were spent seeing some of their favorite bands live.

Beyond concerts, Megan and Patrick love exploring new restaurants, relaxing at the beach, and hiking among the Santa Cruz redwoods. In August 2025, Patrick proposed to Megan in a beautiful redwood setting surrounded by candles and flowers.

Megan was truly surprised and overjoyed to say yes. Soon after their engagement, they celebrated with a special trip to Maui, where they had time to soak in the excitement of this new chapter together.

In January of this year, Patrick and Megan adopted a rescue dog named Winky. Their sweet pup loves trips to the dog park, running on the beach, and hiking through the forest. Most recently, the three of them enjoyed their first family getaway to Mendocino, taking in the dog-friendly beaches, restaurants, and beautiful coastal views.

Even with busy schedules filled with work, dog parenting, and wedding planning, Megan and Patrick always make time for the people they love. They especially enjoy cooking delicious meals to share with family and friends.

They are so excited for their wedding day and feel incredibly grateful to celebrate this special moment with the family and friends who mean so much to them. They look forward to all the fun, adventure, and memories still to come as they begin this next chapter together.
